I just recently renewed my DACA and got approved. It's been two years since DACA has been in place and I am curious if anyone has traveled to Puerto Rico and came back with no problem. If you did what document did you use to travel?
I am planning on going there over the holidays and wanted to make sure everything would be ok.
Sorry if this questions been repeated.

I've actually went to Puerto Rico and back, you don't go through customs and traveling is domestic. You'll need an ID to travel since you go through TSA but other than that you're good to go.

PR is an unincorporated territory of the U.S., therefore it's considered a domestic flight. I've traveled to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, and many other unincorporated territories before using only a Mexican Passport (with no admission stamp) and have never had a problem. I'm always just polite, curteous, etc., with TSA and they never fuck with me. I think most TSA agents just assume i hold dual citizenship or something like that from how flawless my English is and how i look. People sometimes think i'm lying when i say i'm Mexican, lol.

I am new to this but I have read in different forums about traveling to Puerto Rico. Some people say you have to have advance parole. others say that only with a DL. For someone who hasnt left the states in 12 years is a tough decision who to believe. Unfortunately I dont have many friends with my situation . I want to know if its ok. I would really hate to go on a mini vacation and not be able to come back. I have not been back to my country in 12 years , I am more american then anything else. any advice. any experiences that anyone could share??

Hey you are good to go! I was there in may had one of the most amazing vacations. All you need to travel there and back is your state ID, I also took my approval letter and my work permit just in case but they never asked for any additional documentation. Make sure you make a day trip to Culebra which has one of the top rated beaches in the world called "Flamenco" you can take a day trip that can cost you about 90USD and it's totally worth it, it includes food, drinks, snorkeling and you also get to go to Flamenco Beach for a little. Puerto Rico is definitely worth checking out. Coming back to the states they barely checked my ID just like a national flight. Hope you enjoy i'm planning to go back soon.
This a small gopro video of my trip check it out, you're going to want to leave tomorrow! http://youtu.be/0UFH919_Cho
